On August 29th, 2013, I had the pleasure of doing visuals over HELLENICA‘s set at Casa del Popolo in Montreal.

Here are some images from the night’s VJ performance over a demo recording of HELLENICA’s Burning of the Effigies.

This piece features a technique of looping an analogue capture of projected visuals with a camera back into the visual software to create a live visual feedback effect.

A video I did for my musical project Over the Transom. A really fun electronic music collaboration with my friend Nadia Gaudet which regularly releases free music on our podcast.

All effects in the video are practical in-camera with zero post-production other than the final editing.
Source footage was mapped and projected using VDMX to simple cutouts in front of a CRT television with the camera’s feed routed into the background screen causing visual feedback. Simple and super fun. Shot on a Canon 60d with 50mm lens.
